Global Fusion Tour
Exhibition Opening: Wednesday, 23 April, 6:00 - 9:00 PM
Exhibition Dates: 23 - 26 April 2025
Curated by The AI Art Magazine
The AI Art Magazine is an independent platform that explores the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and human creativity. With an open-call model and an international jury—including an AI-driven jury member—we spotlight a wide spectrum of creative voices shaping the future of art and visual culture.
In each edition, the magazine curates outstanding AI-generated works alongside essays, interviews, and experimental formats that question authorship, identity, and aesthetics in the age of machines. As part of the Global Fusion Tour -the project travels internationally- a selection of 11 works will be showcased within the context of the "AI in Art and Culture Education Program". From April 23 to 26, selected artworks awarded Golden Tickets from the magazine's international open call will be displayed at Never at Home, ORF-Funkhaus.
The magazine features 50 works, including the Golden Tickets, 11 pieces individually selected by the magazine's 11 jurors. With this, they aimed to ensure that not only works that align with consensus made it into the magazine but also those that might exist beyond it. The magazine itself already lifts works out of the constant digital flow, giving them a lasting presence in print. An exhibition takes them even further, bringing them into a new space where they can be experienced differently. Beyond framing the "Golden Tickets", visitors can use QR codes to explore the jurors' essays, where they explain why they selected each piece. Additionally, they can delve deeper into the background and context of the works, discovering the stories, ideas, and creative processes behind them.
On April 23, co-founder Mike Brauner will give a lecture as part of Module 4: AI, Curation, and the Future of Art Critique, exploring the role of AI in artistic decision-making and curatorial practice. On April 24, he will lead a hands-on workshop where participants will build and train their own AI curators and reflect on the creative implications of machine-assisted curation.
Founded by Mike Brauner and Christoph Grünberger, The AI Art Magazine is a real-time archive of the AI art movement—documenting its rise, interrogating its impact, and celebrating the artists who shape it.
